Industry: Automotive, Plastic, Home appliance, Fashion industry

INTRODUCTION

This solution leverages a comprehensive set of Asset Administration Shell (AAS) submodels to digitally represent and interconnect all assets—both physical and non-physical—in the injection molding process.

This digital thread spans the entire lifecycle of a plastic product, from design and production to usage and end-of-life, enabling seamless data flow and traceability. By structuring AAS submodels according to Euromap Companion Specifications, the solution ensures easy integration into any plastic processing industry.

It enables fast reconfiguration of production in response to product or material changes, minimizes downtime during restarts, reduces scrap through inline process monitoring, and creates a Product Digital Passport, capturing critical process data for future retrieval.

FEATURES/BENEFITS

With these AAS modules, it's now possible to:

  • Seamless interoperability: ensures smooth integration into industrial environments through standardized AAS and Euromap specifications.
  • Optimized Production & Reduced Scrap: real-time process monitoring and AI-driven optimization cut waste and enhance efficiency.
  • Full Traceability & Compliance: the AAS-based Product Digital Passport tracks production parameters for quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability.
  • Agile, Future-Proof Manufacturinga modular and reconfigurable architecture enables fast adaptation to new market demands, ensuring long-term flexibility.
