Factory Explorer
The Factory Explorer makes the AASs hosted in, e.g., the DIMOFAC Platform easily to inspect for varied purposes, such as browsable, viewing, and analyzing. The graphical interface part of the Factory Explorer goes beyond the functionality offered by other AAS tools, so we expect the Factory Explorer to be necessary across use cases. The tool also facilitates custom dashboards for custom views on the AAS data and custom selection procedures based on, e.g., implemented CIM submodels.

INTRODUCTION
Digital Factory is a three-dimensional model in which all business assets are connected to each other and within the supply-chain. We then record all assets, equipment and processes in a so-called Asset Administration Shell (AAS), organised into standardised submodels drawn from, among others, the CIM. This allows you to digitally steer and manage processes even better. Ultimately, such an AAS can develop into a Digital Twin, to create simulations and predictions, to further optimize your production process.
