Techfinders, where manufacturing industry meets new technologies

,

Innovation in manufacturing is key to ensuring Europe’s industry development and progress.

According to recent data from the Science, research and innovation performance of the EU 2024 report, the European Union has a robust public research infrastructure. Specifically, over 1,400 public research organizations operate across the EU.

However, even though thousands of ideas are created every day, only a very tiny percentage of them go to market. The last stages of the process of development are usually forgotten because of companies’ limitations.

In the words of Mario Draghi, Italy’s former-Prime Minister, in the “Science, Research and Innovation Performance of the EU 2024” report: “The problem is not that Europe lacks ideas or ambition (…) but that innovation is blocked at the next stage: we are failing to translate innovation into commercialisation”.

To solve this problem, the mission of the Technology Transfer Cluster in FundingBox is to ensure the design of go-to-market strategies using test-before-invest schemes to validate technology solutions in real manufacturing environments.

Test-before-invest strategies to ensure proper market validation

After ten years of helping developers understand their target audience, we decided to start a new initiative, Techfinders, a platform that can help both tech developers and first users connect and interact with each other.

Techfinders.io is an online platform that offers meaningful industry connections, providing a place for research centers and private companies with Research &Development departments to engage with manufacturing SMEs.

Building use cases for emerging technologies

Techfinders has a catalogue of emerging technologies, ensuring the target of the right audience and the development of real use cases that will help developers refine and promote their technology.
